Dear colleagues and members of the Korean Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition,

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and respect to the KSPEN members who have remained undaunted in their clinical practice and research in the face of the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although these challenges persist as the pandemic is yet to be fully resolved, the KSPEN, thanks to your enthusiasm and support, is pleased to hold its 20th Annual Congress.

This year's Congress offers sessions on topics of interest such as COVID-19 and clinical nutrition and includes joint sessions with the Korean Society of Health-system Pharmacists, the Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and the Korean Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition as part of a program designed to be of interest to all participants. Educational sessions on fundamental topics as well as a policy session to discuss future directions in nutritional support will also be offered.

Although the pandemic prevents us from gathering in greater numbers, we have no doubt that fruitful, in-depth discussions will ensue either at the Congress venue or in the on-line setting. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Director and members of the Scientific Board for preparing an excellent Congress program that will meet the expectations of all KSPEN colleagues.

We look forward to your interest and proactive participation in the Congress and hope that our joint efforts will soon bring about an end to the COVID-19 pandemic so that we may once again be free to gather in person.

With thanks and best wishes,

Jae Moon Bae, Chairman of the Board of Directors
The Korean Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition
